MAY 2024 NEWS & EVENTS

In this month’s May newsletter, we’ve managed to mention muffins, movies, meetings and mindfulness. Just not all together! We start with our main upcoming event, a ‘townhall public meeting’ prior to the local elections. We will also share some recent updates of news, events and activities in St. Andrew’s as well as other upcoming events and wider initiatives such as the Rialto Community Arts Festival, which we are taking part in.

But first up, the Town Hall meeting. This meeting is being organised by Rialto Development Association and local residents’ group, ‘Back of the Pipes Residents Association’. The purpose of the meeting is to allow the public to get to know their local candidates who will be contesting the local government elections on June 7th in the Dublin South West inner city area. The public meeting will take place Tuesday May 14th at 8pm. Residents will have an opportunity to raise concerns and queries in one setting. We hosted a similar meeting in 2019 and it was a great success.

HEADS UP FOR THE MEN

There will be a short information session this week in St. Andrew’s about a new programme, aimed at supporting men and their mental health. Maybe this is for you, the man in your life or maybe there is someone you know who could benefit. The course itself is free. If you cannot attend the information session, feel free to ring Tom Conroy, whose contact details are in the poster below.
